Crawl Space Clean-Out and 980 Sq. Ft. CleanSpace Encapsulation – Completed Project Americrawl recently completed a comprehensive crawl space restoration project that included a full construction debris clean-out and installation of a 980 square foot CleanSpace® crawl space encapsulation system. This service was designed to improve moisture control, air quality, and overall foundation protection for the homeowner. The project began with the removal of all construction debris, organic materials, and contaminants from the crawl space area. Our experienced team performed a detailed crawl space clean-out to ensure the space was fully prepped for encapsulation. Eliminating debris not only improved accessibility but also removed potential sources of mold growth, pests, and odors, creating a clean environment ready for long-term crawl space repair solutions. Following the clean-out, Americrawl installed a premium CleanSpace® vapor barrier across 980 square feet of crawl space. This heavy-duty, 20-mil thick liner was precisely fitted to the floor and walls, with all seams carefully sealed to create an airtight, waterproof barrier. We also wrapped support piers to ensure complete crawl space encapsulation and prevent moisture intrusion from any surface area. The CleanSpace® system now isolates the home from the damp earth, dramatically improving indoor air quality, lowering humidity levels, and enhancing energy efficiency. The homeowner can expect reduced risk of mold and mildew, and enhanced structural protection as part of our comprehensive Americrawl solution. Throughout the project, Americrawl’s certified technicians maintained the highest standards of professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. Using our proven methods for crawl space moisture control and foundation protection, we delivered a finished product that exceeded the homeowner’s expectations — providing a cleaner, healthier, and more energy-efficient home environment. **Inspection & Diagnosis** Inspector / Design Specialist Tyler proposed the following products and services to help the homeowners; • 130' of perimeter drainage (AkwaGard) along the base of the foundation walls to capture water • 99' of CleanSpace wall • Demo and removal of concrete and wall material • SuperSump sump pump system, complete with battery back-up • Discharge lines, ensuring the water is pumped out and away from the home 15’. • 35 Feet of Disharge line extension • Americrawls Crack Seal **Installation & Repair** Crew Foreman Celeo and his team arrived on the scheduled day for their project. Before beginning the work, they conducted one final walkthrough with the homeowner to ensure they were aligned with the homeowner's goals for protecting the house. The project involved installing a partial waterproofing system along the perimeter of the foundation and basement. The first step was to jackhammer and remove all the concrete at the base of the walls to create space for the drainage system. Since the homeowners still had some possessions stored in the basement, the crew covered these items with plastic to keep them clean. The jackhammering process generates a lot of dust and noise, but it is a necessary step to ensure the proper installation of the drainage tiles. After completing the demolition, the team began laying out the AkwaGard drainage system around the perimeter. In total, they installed 130 feet of drainage, ensuring that any water entering the basement through the foundation walls would be captured and directed toward the sump pump basin. During this process, CleanSpace Walls and Crack Seal were also installed. Once the drainage system was in place, and the Super Sump basin was set, the AkwaGard tiles were tested with water to confirm that it flowed properly toward the sump pump basin. It is essential to test each system before finalizing the installation by pouring concrete over the components. Following a successful test, the crew mixed and poured concrete over the AkwaGard drainage system, which was positioned within crushed stone to allow for proper flow and drainage. The basin for the water and pump was also cast in concrete. The installed SuperSump sump pump system included a 1/3 HP cast iron pump. Additionally, the WaterWatch alarm system is battery-powered and alerts the homeowner if water approaches the surface of the basin due to any system failure. The lid of the water pump basin is airtight, which is crucial if the homeowner has or ever needs to install a radon mitigation system. An airtight seal prevents unwanted air or moisture from escaping the basin. **Results & Customer Satisfaction** They were completely satisfied with the through proposal and expertly installed system, and were able to continue with their remodel plans and finishing their basement. **Team Members Involved** Inspector Tyler Crew Foreman Celeo

**Inspection & Diagnosis** Inspector and Design Specialist Tyler met with the homeowner to understand their goals, inspect the home, and determine how to keep the basement dry year-round. Tyler proposed the following products and services to assist the homeowners: - Installation of 106 feet of AkwaGard perimeter drainage along the interior walls to capture water. - Demolition and removal of concrete and wall materials. - Installation of a SuperSump sump pump, complete with a battery backup. - Installation of discharge lines to ensure water is pumped out and away from the home. - Application of a 20-mil CleanSpace vapor barrier on the walls. - Enrollment in Americrawl’s annual maintenance program for yearly sump pump maintenance. **Installation & Repair** On the day of installation, Crew Foreman Celeo and the Americrawl team arrived, ready to implement the proposed plan. Before beginning any work, Celeo conducted a final walkthrough with the homeowners to confirm the project scope and address any last-minute questions. The first step in the installation involved removing a portion of the concrete floor around the perimeter to create space for the AkwaGard basement waterproofing drainage system. Once the preparation work was completed, the team installed 106 feet of the AkwaGard drainage system. These drainage channels were carefully positioned along the base of the foundation walls, where water had been most prevalent. They were laid within a bed of crushed stone to maximize water flow and prevent clogging. A CleanSpace vapor barrier was also installed on the basement walls and carefully directed down into the drainage system to capture any water intrusion. Next, the SuperSump® sump pump basin was installed at the lowest point in the basement to ensure optimal water collection. The entire system was then tested with controlled water flow to verify that the channels were effectively directing water into the sump pump. Once the test confirmed the basement waterproofing was successful, our team poured fresh concrete over the drainage system to secure it in place, restoring a clean and even basement floor. The SuperSump® system is equipped with a WaterWatch® alarm powered by a 9-volt battery, which notifies the homeowner if the water level rises near the top of the sump pump—serving as an early warning signal in case of failure. Additionally, the airtight lid on the sump basin eliminates the risk of moisture escaping and makes the setup compatible with a radon mitigation system, should one be needed in the future. **Results & Customer Satisfaction** With the basement waterproofing system fully installed and working, the homeowners can now continue with their remodeling plans to create usable space in their home and increase its value. **Team Members Involved** Inspector Tyler Crew Foreman Celeo and Team

**Inspection & Diagnosis** Our lead inspector, Daniel, contacted the customer 30 minutes prior to the home inspection to discuss the issues that needed to be addressed for the home to pass the inspection. When Daniel arrived at the property, the customer had expressed their concerns and showed him access to the crawl space. Daniel then entered the crawl space to conduct his inspection. While in the space, he noticed that there was no sump pump or sump station to manage the pockets of water present. After thoroughly examining the area, Daniel provided an estimate for the necessary work. The estimate included the installation of an AmeriSump sump pump station, a clean-out, and a 6-mil poly vapor barrier. **Installation & Repair** When they arrived, Crew Foreman Celeo and his team greeted the customer and explained that they would be installing an AmeriSystem sump pump along with a discharge line. This involved digging a hole that was 22 inches deep and 20 inches wide for the sump pump liner. After installing the sump pump, it would be connected to a 15-foot discharge line that would be buried in her yard. Once the sump pump was in place, the crew cleaned up any debris and leveled the crawlspace. Celeo and his team also installed a 6-mil poly vapor barrier across the entire floor of the crawlspace to cover the soil. **Results & Customer Satisfaction** The customer was pleased to resolve the issues noted by her home inspector. **Team Members Involved** Inspector Daniel Crew Foreman Celeo
