The scope of work includes the installation of one steel crawlspace access door to provide secure and long-lasting entry to the crawlspace. In addition, eight poured concrete pads are installed beneath the center beam of the home to create stable and properly engineered bearing points. An 18-foot section of the center beam is then replaced and set on the new concrete pads, restoring proper structural support to the floor system. This work corrects existing deficiencies, improves load distribution, and enhances the overall structural stability and integrity of the home.

To restore the structure, Americrawl’s skilled technicians began by carefully removing the damaged center beam and replacing it with a new, treated lumber beam designed to resist future moisture and insect damage. This new beam provided immediate support to the home’s floor system, correcting much of the sagging. The sill plates—critical components that transfer the load from the walls to the foundation—were also replaced where rot and decay had been found. Proper anchoring and sealing ensured long-lasting stability and protection against further deterioration. Several floor joists were sistered  with new lumber to restore strength and load-bearing capacity. In areas with more severe damage, full joist replacements were completed to ensure the floor  was properly reinforced.

After a thorough inspection, Americrawl recommended the installation of 4 heavy-duty wall anchors to permanently stabilize and secure the wall. This proven method works by connecting the bowing wall to anchor plates buried in stable soil outside the foundation, counteracting the pressure that caused the wall to move inward. The installation process involved minimal disruption to the property. Precise anchor points were marked, small excavation areas were created outdoors, and steel anchor rods were driven through the wall to connect to the exterior anchor plates. Inside, low-profile wall plates were secured to distribute the pulling force evenly, gradually restoring the wall toward its original position. Once installed, the anchors immediately stopped further movement and provided the homeowner with a transferable long-term warranty. The customer was highly satisfied with the results, noting the professionalism of the crew, the clean worksite, and the confidence that their home’s foundation is now permanently reinforced against soil pressure.

This project involved a complete crawlspace drainage and access improvement system to protect the home from water intrusion and structural issues. The work included the installation of 246 linear feet of the AmeriDrain Crawlspace Drainage System, strategically placed along the interior perimeter to capture and direct groundwater away from the foundation. To ensure efficient water removal, we installed two AmeriSump sump stations, providing a dual-pump setup for optimal protection and redundancy during heavy rainfall or high water table conditions. Additionally, we upgraded the crawlspace with two new steel crawlspace access doors, offering secure, durable entry points that resist corrosion and improve overall energy efficiency. For exterior safety and drainage enhancement, we installed two area wells, which prevent soil and debris buildup around basement windows while facilitating proper water management.
