This project involved the installation of 210 linear feet of the AmeriDrain Drainage System, designed to effectively manage groundwater and prevent moisture intrusion in the crawl space. To enhance water removal efficiency, we installed one AmeriSump sump station, providing a reliable discharge point for collected water. In addition, we installed a high-quality 6-mil vapor barrier across the crawl space floor, offering superior moisture protection and reducing humidity levels. This barrier plays a crucial role in improving indoor air quality and protecting structural components from long-term damage caused by moisture. As part of the project, we also completed structural wood repairs, addressing compromised sill plates, rim joists, and other framing members affected by moisture or deterioration. Americrawl provided a complete solution to repair a wet crawlspace in Anderson, Indiana. The project began with a full debris clean-out, followed by the installation of a 1,144 sq. ft. drainage system designed to capture and redirect groundwater to a reliable sump pump with a durable sump pump liner. A discharge line with a bubbler well was added to carry water safely away from the foundation. To further protect the space, a 1,144 sq. ft. vapor barrier was installed to seal the crawlspace from ground moisture. Americrawl also replaced seven foundation vents, upgraded the crawlspace door and frame, and added 114 linear feet of 2” foundation foam insulation for improved energy efficiency and moisture control. These comprehensive crawlspace repair solutions help ensure a dry, healthy, and protected foundation for years to come.

This project involves comprehensive structural repairs to the floor framing system to restore strength, stability, and long-term durability. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of 66 feet of deteriorated 2×6 sill plate along the perimeter of the structure. This process involves carefully lifting and supporting the affected sections of the building, removing damaged material, and installing new pressure-treated 2×6 sill plates anchored securely to the foundation. All components will be leveled and properly sealed to ensure a solid connection between the framing and foundation. In addition to the sill plate work, the project includes reinforcing the floor system by installing 45 sistered 2×10 joists. Each sister joist will be fitted alongside existing compromised joists, extending to the maximum feasible length to ensure proper load transfer. Construction adhesive and mechanical fasteners will be used to bond and secure the joists according to structural best practices. The sistering process will restore rigidity, reduce deflection, and strengthen the overall floor structure. The scope also includes the full replacement of 6 floor joists that are beyond repair. These damaged joists will be removed in full and replaced with new, full-length 2×10 joists installed with proper bearing on the sill plate and correctly tied into the existing framing. All connections will meet current building standards and ensure continuity with the surrounding structural members.

The installation team completed a comprehensive crawlspace waterproofing and structural restoration project designed to address both moisture intrusion and compromised framing conditions beneath the home. The work included the installation of 146 linear feet of AmeriDrain interior crawlspace drainage system along the foundation perimeter to intercept groundwater intrusion and relieve hydrostatic pressure at the footing level. The drainage system was directed to one AmeriSump sump station, which was installed to efficiently collect and discharge water away from the home through a dedicated exterior discharge line. The project began with a complete crawlspace cleanout, removing debris and organic materials to create a clean and accessible work area. In addition, three crawlspace vents were replaced to improve ventilation and restore the condition of the foundation openings. To further control moisture and humidity, a 6-mil black vapor barrier was installed across the crawlspace floor to help prevent ground moisture from migrating into the space. Extensive structural wood repairs were also completed to restore the integrity of the floor system and supporting framework. The repairs included replacement of 90 linear feet of sill plate, 30 linear feet of rim joist and plate, installation of four full-length floor joists, and reinforcement of the existing framing with twenty sister joists. These repairs were performed to replace moisture-damaged and deteriorated wood components, improve load distribution, and restore proper structural support throughout the affected areas.

The installation team completed the installation of 149 linear feet of AmeriDrain® interior crawlspace drainage system along the foundation perimeter to effectively intercept groundwater intrusion and relieve hydrostatic pressure at the footing level. The drainage system was carefully positioned to ensure consistent water collection and proper flow toward one AmeriSump® sump station, which was installed to collect and pump water safely away from the home. To further control ground moisture and humidity, 1,344 square feet of reinforced vapor barrier was installed across the crawlspace floor and sealed along foundation surfaces to create a continuous moisture barrier. The sump system was connected to a 30-foot exterior discharge line that directs water away from the foundation and into a dry well, allowing water to safely disperse into the surrounding soil. Together, these components provide effective water management, reduce moisture levels within the crawlspace, and help protect the structural integrity of the home over the long term.

We installed 5 adjustable SmartJack support posts along the main center beam in the basement to address sagging floors and restore proper structural support. These galvanized steel posts are engineered for strength and durability, capable of supporting heavy loads and correcting floor settlement issues. Each post was installed on a solid concrete footing to ensure long-term stability and prevent further movement. The adjustable design allows for fine-tuning over time, ensuring the floor system remains level and secure.

Our team began this project with a full crawl space cleanout, removing debris and preparing the area for installation. To manage water intrusion, we installed 138 feet of the AmeriDrain Drainage System along the perimeter. For added protection, the crawl space was sealed with 1,100 square feet of the CleanSpace Encapsulation System, helping to control moisture and create a healthier environment. We also applied 1,100 square feet of Timbor Spray to protect the wood components from mold, mildew, and future fungal growth. In addition to moisture control, we performed structural wood repairs, including the replacement of 14 feet of sill plate and reinforcement with 3 sister joists to restore strength and stability to the floor system.

Installing a crawlspace dehumidifier begins with assessing the space to determine the best location for maximum airflow and moisture control. The area is prepared by ensuring it is clean, sealed, and equipped with proper drainage to prevent standing water. The dehumidifier is then securely placed on a level surface or mounted as needed, with ducting installed if required for even air distribution. A dedicated electrical outlet is used to safely power the unit, and a drainage hose or pump system is connected to direct collected moisture away from the home.
