This customer reached out to Americrawl seeking a permanent solution to ongoing moisture issues and poor ventilation in their crawl space. After a thorough inspection, it was determined that a comprehensive drainage system was necessary to manage groundwater intrusion and improve the overall condition of the space.

The project included the installation of a full perimeter drainage system designed to collect and direct water to a newly installed AmeriSump® sump pump station, a high-performance solution known for its reliability and efficiency in removing water from below-grade spaces. The AmeriSump® system ensures that any groundwater collected through the drainage channels is quickly and safely pumped away from the home’s foundation, preventing pooling or structural damage.

To further improve crawl space conditions, all crawl space vents were replaced. These new vent covers were installed to better seal the space and control airflow, reducing humidity infiltration and helping to maintain a more consistent internal environment. Proper vent replacement is key in keeping outside moisture and pests from entering the crawl space.

In addition to the drainage improvements and vent upgrades, a 6 mil vapor barrier was installed across the crawl space floor. The vapor barrier serves to block ground moisture from evaporating into the air, which significantly helps in reducing overall humidity in the crawl space.

Americrawl was called back by a previous customer to complete a 1662 sq ft crawlspace encapsulation. Our team installed a durable CleanSpace vapor barrier to fully seal the crawlspace, protecting the home from excess moisture and humidity. This crawlspace encapsulation system helps control energy loss, improves indoor air quality, and safeguards the home’s foundation from long-term water damage. We installed 190 linear feet of the AmeriDrain Drainage System to effectively manage water intrusion and maintain a dry crawl space. To further protect the home from moisture and improve air quality, we encapsulated the area with 1,602 square feet of CleanSpace vapor barrier. Additionally, we applied 1,602 square feet of Timbor treatment to all exposed wood surfaces. This preventive treatment helps guard against mold, wood decay, and pest activity, ensuring long-term structural integrity and a healthier home environment.

The installation team completed the installation of 765 square feet of the CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation system to effectively isolate the area from ground moisture and reduce humidity levels. The reinforced vapor barrier was carefully installed across the crawlspace floor and sealed along foundation walls and penetrations to create a continuous and durable moisture barrier, helping protect structural components and improve the overall crawlspace environment. In addition, a concrete lintel was poured to reinforce and protect the foundation at the affected opening. The lintel was properly formed and installed to ensure adequate load transfer and structural support, helping restore stability and prevent further movement in the area. Together, these improvements provide enhanced moisture control and structural reinforcement for long-term performance.

We installed a sump pump to efficiently remove water, keeping the crawl space dry and protecting the home from moisture-related issues.

The installation team completed the installation of 136 linear feet of AmeriDrain interior crawlspace drainage system along the foundation perimeter to effectively intercept groundwater intrusion and relieve hydrostatic pressure at the footing level. The system was carefully positioned to ensure consistent water collection and proper flow toward the sump location. To manage the collected water, one AmeriSump sump station was installed to efficiently pump and discharge water away from the home through a dedicated exterior discharge line. To further control ground moisture and humidity, 1,250 square feet of reinforced vapor barrier was installed across the crawlspace floor and sealed along foundation walls and penetrations to create a continuous moisture barrier. Together, these components provide a comprehensive water management solution that helps reduce moisture levels, protect structural elements, and maintain a cleaner, drier crawlspace environment for long-term performance.

Americrawl recently completed a crawl space waterproofing project featuring 200 linear feet of crawlspace drainage and a durable vapor barrier system. Our team installed a high-performance drainage system to redirect excess groundwater away from the foundation, protecting against flooding, standing water, and long-term structural damage. To further safeguard the home, we applied a heavy-duty vapor barrier to seal the crawlspace floor, preventing moisture from entering the living space. For this project, our crew completed a full crawl space and structural repair system, ensuring long-term stability and moisture protection. 128 feet of AmeriDrain drainage system was installed to manage groundwater and prevent future flooding. 1 AmeriSump sump station was added to provide reliable water removal. 1,400 square feet of vapor barrier was placed across the crawl space to protect against moisture, mold, and humidity. 34 feet of rim joist and plate were replaced to restore the integrity of the crawl space perimeter. 96 feet of sill plate replacement was completed to reinforce structural support where damage had occurred. 60 full-length joists were replaced, ensuring the floor system above is fully stabilized and supported.

We installed a partial perimeter basement drainage system for Mark to control ground water which we tied into his existing sump pump. We also connected his existing sump pump into a new discharge line we installed in his yard.
