For this project, the Americrawl team installed 126 feet of AkwaGuard basement drainage system, one SuperSump sump station, and one UltraSump battery backup system. The AkwaGuard drainage system was installed along the interior perimeter of the basement to effectively manage groundwater seepage and prevent future flooding or moisture buildup. This system ensures that water entering through foundation walls or floor joints is quickly collected and directed to the sump system for removal. The SuperSump sump station provides reliable, high-capacity pumping to keep the basement dry, while the UltraSump battery backup offers extra protection in the event of a power outage—ensuring continuous operation during heavy rains or emergencies.

To repair this wet crawlspace in Indianapolis, Americrawl installed a complete waterproofing and moisture control system designed to keep the area dry, healthy, and protected year-round. The project included a debris clean out to remove unwanted materials and improve crawlspace conditions before installation. A 189 linear foot interior drainage system was installed to capture groundwater and direct it to a high-performance sump pump with discharge line, helping prevent standing water and future moisture intrusion. The crawlspace access door was replaced to create a tighter seal against outside air and humidity, while 1,400 square feet of vapor barrier was installed to help control moisture, reduce mold concerns, and improve energy efficiency. The crawlspace was also treated with TimBor spray to help protect exposed wood framing from mold and wood-destroying organisms, creating a cleaner and healthier crawlspace environment for the homeowner.

For this crawlspace waterproofing project, our crew installed 135 linear feet of AmeriDrain drainage system designed to collect and direct groundwater away from the foundation. This system provides a long-term solution to prevent standing water, soil saturation, and moisture buildup beneath the home. To ensure efficient water removal, an AmeriSump sump station was installed. This dependable sump system works in conjunction with the AmeriDrain to keep the crawlspace dry even during heavy rainfall or rising groundwater levels. The area was then sealed with 1,492 square feet of CleanSpace encapsulation system, creating a durable vapor barrier across the entire crawlspace floor and walls. This encapsulation effectively blocks moisture, improves air quality, and helps protect the home’s wooden structure from mold, rot, and humidity damage.

This system is designed to capture seepage at the cove joint and channel water efficiently to the sump station, preventing basement floor and wall moisture issues. A SuperSump sump station will be installed as the primary water-management unit. The system includes a high-capacity pump, airtight lid, and liner, providing reliable water removal and improved basement dryness. To address wall moisture and direct any seepage into the drainage system, 57 linear feet of CleanSpace Wall liner will be installed on the interior basement walls. This durable vapor barrier helps prevent moisture transmission, reflects light for a brighter basement, and works in tandem with the drainage system to guide water downward into the AkwaGuard channel.

The installation team completed the application of 2,200 square feet of Timbor Spray mold treatment spray to exposed crawlspace and structural wood surfaces. This borate-based solution was evenly applied to penetrate the wood fibers and provide long-lasting protection against mold, mildew, and fungal growth. The treatment helps inhibit microbial activity, protects against wood decay, and contributes to a healthier crawlspace environment. This application is an effective preventative measure that supports the longevity of structural components and improves overall moisture resistance within the space.

Our crew completed a professional crack repair on a basement wall to address water intrusion and structural concerns. The crack was thoroughly cleaned and properly prepared before being sealed to stop active and future water penetration. After sealing, a durable waterproof membrane was applied over the repaired area to provide added protection and flexibility, allowing the repair to accommodate minor movement in the foundation wall. To control vapor transmission from the ground, we placed a durable 6-mil moisture barrier across the crawl space floor, creating a cleaner and more controlled environment.

For this project, we installed 10 Reinforcer carbon fiber straps on a bowing basement wall. Carbon fiber straps are a modern, high-strength solution for stabilizing and supporting foundation walls that have experienced inward movement or bowing due to hydrostatic pressure or soil expansion. The Reinforcer system uses commercial-grade carbon fiber that is stronger than steel, yet lightweight and low-profile, making it ideal for structural reinforcement without the need for invasive construction. Each strap was securely anchored to the foundation wall to halt further movement and restore structural integrity.
