For this project, our crew completed a full crawlspace drainage and moisture control system to improve the structural integrity and overall air quality of the home. We installed 145 linear feet of AmeriDrain drainage system, designed to effectively capture and direct groundwater away from the foundation to prevent standing water and moisture accumulation beneath the home. To ensure dependable water removal, an AmeriSump sump station was added, providing a reliable solution for continuous drainage even during heavy rainfall. The crawlspace floor was then covered with 988 square feet of 6-mil vapor barrier, which helps to seal out ground moisture and reduce humidity levels that can contribute to mold growth and wood deterioration. Additionally, our team replaced four crawlspace vents, improving air control and preventing outside moisture and pests from entering the space. We also repaired and reinforced 38 feet of rim joist and plate, addressing areas of wood damage to restore strength and stability to the crawlspace structure.

This project focused on stabilizing a foundation that had experienced significant settlement issues. To restore the structural integrity of the home, we installed 13 DynaPush Piers. These high-strength steel piers are designed to transfer the weight of the structure down to stable, load-bearing soil or bedrock, effectively halting further sinking and preventing additional damage.

To address the water management issue, Americrawl installed the AmeriDrain® interior drainage system along the crawl space perimeter. This system efficiently channels groundwater to the newly installed SuperSump® sump pump station, a high-performance unit designed to handle large volumes of water and discharge it safely away from the home. For moisture and air quality control, the team installed the CleanSpace® Encapsulation system across the crawl space floor and walls. This heavy-duty, antimicrobial liner creates a sealed environment that blocks ground moisture, improves air quality, and makes the crawl space brighter and cleaner. In addition to water and moisture protection, our crew performed structural wood repairs. Damaged sill plates, joists, or beams were replaced or sistered with treated lumber to restore the home’s structural stability and prevent further deterioration.

To restore the structure, Our Crews performed floor joist repairs, replacing or sistering damaged joists to restore strength and load capacity. In addition, sections of the sill plate—the critical connection point between the foundation and the walls—were replaced where rot and decay had compromised stability. These repairs immediately improved the levelness and support of the flooring system. To address the water intrusion, we installed our proven AmeriSystem® drainage system along the interior perimeter of the crawl space. This system channels groundwater directly to the AmeriSump® sump pump station, a high-performance sump pump designed to efficiently remove collected water and discharge it safely away from the foundation. Together, these components protect the crawl space from standing water, reduce humidity levels, and help preserve the structural wood for years to come.
