For this project, our crew installed a new steel crawlspace entry door, providing a secure and durable access point that will stand up to weathering and long-term use. In addition, we completed structural repairs, including the installation of 3 sister joists to reinforce weakened areas and restore strength to the floor system above. To finish the project, we also sealed up the garage entry, closing off gaps that could allow moisture, air, or pests to enter the crawlspace.

Our crew installed 10 wall anchors to stabilize the basement foundation walls. These anchors were strategically placed to counteract the inward pressure on the bowing walls, providing long-term stability and protection for the home’s foundation. With this installation, the basement walls are now reinforced, reducing the risk of further movement and ensuring a safe and structurally sound environment.

Our crew installed approximately 132 linear feet of AmeriDrain drainage system to effectively collect and redirect groundwater along the foundation perimeter, tying the system into one AmeriSump sump pump station for dependable water removal. In addition, approximately 1,056 square feet of 6-mil black poly vapor barrier was installed over the crawlspace floor to reduce ground moisture and control humidity levels. Structural repairs were also completed, including the replacement of approximately 6 feet of rim joist and sill plate, along with 3 feet of additional sill plate repair to restore proper perimeter support. Thirteen floor joists were sistered to reinforce weakened framing, and one full-length floor joist was installed to replace a compromised member. Additionally, fifteen 2x8 box header caps were installed to strengthen floor framing and improve overall load distribution. Collectively, this work enhances moisture control, restores structural integrity, and provides long-term protection for the home.

For this project, our team began with a complete crawlspace cleanout, removing all debris and damaged materials to create a fresh starting point for the improvements. Once cleared, we installed 180 feet of AmeriDrain Crawlspace Drainage System to effectively manage water intrusion and direct it away from the foundation. To ensure dependable water removal, we added a SuperSump sump station, providing strong and reliable pumping capacity to keep the space dry during heavy rains. Next, we encapsulated the crawlspace with 1,690 square feet of CleanSpace Encapsulation System, creating a sealed barrier that helps prevent moisture, mold growth, and musty odors. To further protect the home’s air quality and structural health, we also installed a Sedona dehumidifier, one of the most energy-efficient systems available, designed to keep humidity levels under control year-round.

The installation team completed a combination of crawlspace moisture-control and structural repair improvements to enhance the long-term stability and condition of the home. The project included the installation of one AmeriSump sump station to efficiently collect and discharge groundwater away from the foundation, helping maintain a drier crawlspace environment. To further control moisture and humidity, 1,120 square feet of 6-mil vapor barrier was installed across the crawlspace floor to reduce ground moisture migration and help protect the space from excess humidity. Timbor mold treatment spray was also applied to exposed wood framing members to inhibit mold growth and help protect against fungal decay. Structural repairs included replacement of 8 linear feet of center beam to restore proper load-bearing support beneath the floor system, along with the replacement or reinforcement of four full-length floor joists to improve structural integrity and load distribution. Together, these upgrades provide improved moisture management, enhanced structural stability, and long-term protection for the crawlspace and supporting framework.
