The installation team completed structural framing repairs to restore stability and proper load distribution within the affected area. The work included replacement of 42 linear feet of deteriorated sill plate with new 2x4 material to reestablish a solid connection between the framing and foundation. In addition, twelve (12) 2x10 sister joists were installed alongside existing floor joists to reinforce weakened members and improve overall strength and stiffness of the floor system. Each sister joist was properly fastened and aligned to ensure effective load sharing and long-term performance. These repairs enhance structural integrity, reduce deflection, and provide a more stable and reliable framing system.

Americrawl repaired extensive wood rot in this crawlspace by replacing 14 feet of rim joist and plate, 8 feet of sill plate, 3 full floor joists, and 2 box header caps to restore the home's structural integrity in Indianapolis, Indiana. Damaged structural wood caused by excess moisture and wood destroying insects can weaken a home's support system over time, so our crawlspace repair specialists removed the deteriorated materials and installed new, properly supported framing components to provide lasting stability. By addressing the source of the structural damage and replacing compromised wood with quality materials, this crawlspace repair helps strengthen the foundation support system, improve safety, and protect the home from further deterioration caused by insects and moisture-related wood rot.

This project involved installing 172 feet of the AmeriDrain drainage system to effectively manage water intrusion and direct it safely away from the crawl space. To further protect the area, our team completed a full 1,358 square feet CleanSpace encapsulation system, sealing the crawl space from ground moisture. All exposed wood surfaces were treated with 1,358 square feet of Timbor Spray for long-lasting protection against mold and decay. To ensure dependable water removal, we also installed a new Zoeller M53 pump along with a Sedona dehumidifier, providing superior humidity control and air quality.

The installation team completed the installation of 1,283 square feet of 6-mil black vapor barrier across the crawlspace floor to help isolate the area from ground moisture and reduce humidity levels beneath the home. The vapor barrier was carefully laid out and secured to create a continuous moisture barrier, helping protect structural components from moisture-related deterioration and improving overall crawlspace conditions. In conjunction with the moisture-control work, 1,283 square feet of RMR-86 mold removal treatment was applied to affected surfaces throughout the crawlspace to address existing mold and microbial growth. The treatment was applied thoroughly to help eliminate mold contamination and improve the cleanliness and overall air quality of the space. Together, these improvements provide enhanced moisture control, mold remediation, and long-term protection for the crawlspace environment.

The installation team completed a crawlspace remediation and structural reinforcement project designed to improve moisture control and restore floor system stability beneath the home. The project began with a full crawlspace cleanout, removing debris and organic materials to create a clean, serviceable environment and improve overall access within the space. To address groundwater intrusion, 132 linear feet of AmeriDrain interior crawlspace drainage system was installed along the foundation perimeter to intercept seepage and relieve hydrostatic pressure at the footing level. The drainage system was routed to one AmeriSump sump station, which was installed to efficiently collect and discharge water away from the home through a dedicated exterior discharge line. In addition, fourteen (14) 2x10 sister floor joists were installed alongside existing framing members to reinforce weakened joists, improve load distribution, and restore structural integrity to the floor system. Together, these improvements provide enhanced moisture management, increased structural support, and a cleaner, more stable crawlspace environment.

This project involved a complete moisture management and protection upgrade for the crawl space. The installation included 120 linear feet of AmeriDrain Drainage System, designed to effectively capture and redirect groundwater away from the foundation to prevent flooding and water intrusion issues. To manage collected water, we installed a high-performance SuperSump sump pump system, ensuring reliable water removal and long-term protection against excess moisture. The crawl space floor was fully encapsulated with 1,150 square feet of CleanSpace vapor barrier, creating a sealed environment that drastically reduces humidity levels and prevents mold growth. For additional wood protection, we applied 1,150 square feet of Timbor treatment spray to all exposed wooden components, safeguarding the structure against fungal decay and wood-boring pests.

The installation team completed the installation of 1,137 square feet of the CleanSpace crawlspace encapsulation system to effectively isolate the area from ground moisture and reduce humidity levels beneath the home. The reinforced vapor barrier was carefully installed across the crawlspace floor and sealed along foundation surfaces and penetrations to create a continuous and durable moisture barrier, helping protect structural components and improve overall air quality. The project also included a full crawlspace cleanout, removing all debris and organic materials to create a clean, serviceable environment. One Turtle crawlspace access cover was installed to provide a durable, weather-resistant entry point while maintaining the integrity of the encapsulated system. In addition, the dryer vent was reinstalled to ensure proper ventilation and safe exhaust of moisture and lint to the exterior. Together, these improvements enhance moisture control, accessibility, and overall crawlspace performance.

This homeowner contacted Americrawl after discovering signs of structural damage in their crawl space, including sagging floors and visible wood deterioration. During our detailed inspection, it became clear that several key structural components—such as floor joists, sill plates, rim joists and center beams —had suffered damage due to prolonged exposure to moisture and age-related wear. To restore the home’s structural integrity, Americrawl’s crew performed comprehensive structural wood repairs. Damaged wood members were carefully removed and replaced with treated lumber designed to resist rot and future deterioration. In some areas, additional supports and sistered joists were installed to reinforce the framing and redistribute weight across the crawl space. These repairs brought the floors back to a level position and provided lasting stability for the structure above. In addition to the structural repairs, the homeowner also needed a secure and reliable entry point to the crawl space. The existing access was deteriorated and no longer functional, so a new crawl space access door was custom-installed. Built with durability in mind, the new door is weather-resistant and tightly sealed to prevent outside air, water, and pests from entering the crawl space. It also allows for easier future inspections and maintenance.

When this previous customer in Indianapolis, Indiana needed to repair a wet crawlspace, Americrawl installed a complete waterproofing system designed to control moisture and protect the home's foundation. The project included 96 linear feet of crawlspace drainage to collect and redirect groundwater, a high-performance sump pump to efficiently remove water from the crawlspace, and 576 square feet of crawlspace encapsulation to seal the area from excess moisture and humidity. By combining interior drainage with a durable vapor barrier encapsulation system, the crawlspace is better protected against standing water, mold and mildew growth, wood rot, and poor indoor air quality. This comprehensive crawlspace repair solution helps create a cleaner, drier, and healthier crawlspace while providing long-term moisture control for the home.

Americrawl recently helped a customer repair a wet crawlspace by providing a full range of waterproofing and moisture control solutions. Our team began with a debris clean out to remove all damp and damaged materials, followed by the installation of a 1,392 sq. ft. drainage system designed to capture and redirect groundwater away from the foundation. A powerful sump pump was installed to keep the crawlspace dry year-round. To further improve ventilation and exterior protection, Americrawl replaced five foundation vents and installed five new foundation vent wells, ensuring proper airflow and moisture balance. Additionally, a new crawlspace door and area well were installed to seal and protect the entry point. These Americrawl waterproofing solutions help prevent future water intrusion, protect structural integrity, and create a healthier, more energy-efficient home environment.
