Job completed for Doug A.

Completion date: August 22, 2012

Location: Brownsburg, IN

Why did the customer contact us?

This homeowner contacted Americrawl after noticing uneven floors, drafts, and signs of wood deterioration in their home. Upon inspection, our team discovered significant moisture-related damage to multiple structural components within the crawl space, including floor joists, sill plates, rim joists, and plates. The crawl space access door was also deteriorated, making entry difficult and leaving the space vulnerable to outside air, pests, and debris.

Solutions provided:

To restore the home’s structural integrity, Americrawl’s crew  replaced damaged floor joists with new, lumber, ensuring proper load support and stability. Sections of the sill plate between the home’s walls and foundation were removed and replaced where rot had compromised. The rim joist and plate were also repaired or replaced as needed, sealing gaps and restoring a tight structural connection.
To improve accessibility and protection, a new crawl space access door was installed. This upgrade allows for easier entry during future inspections.
