Why did the customer contact us?
This homeowner contacted Americrawl after dealing with ongoing moisture concerns in both their crawl space and basement. During our inspection, we found that the crawl space lacked proper moisture control, which was contributing to higher humidity in the basement. We also identified two visible cracks in the foundation wall that were allowing water seepage during heavy rains.
Solutions provided:
To address these issues, Americrawl installed a CleanSpace® crawl space encapsulation system that was seamlessly integrated with the basement area. The CleanSpace® liner is a 20 mil reinforced liner was installed across the crawl space floor and walls, creating a continuous sealed barrier to block moisture from the earth and improve indoor air quality. This integration ensured that both the crawl space and basement benefited from reduced humidity and a cleaner, healthier environment.
In addition, our team performed two professional crack seals on the basement foundation wall. Each crack was injected with a high-quality, flexible sealant designed to expand and contract with the wall while maintaining a watertight seal. This permanently stopped water intrusion at these problem points and reinforced the wall’s integrity.
