Why did the customer contact us?
This homeowner contacted Americrawl to address water pooling issues near their foundation during heavy rainfall. Their existing downspouts were discharging water too close to the home, increasing the risk of damaging there garage foundation.
Solutions provided:
After assessing the property’s drainage needs, Americrawl installed 4-inch PVC downspout extensions designed to carry roof runoff far away from the foundation to a safe discharge location. Each extension was measured, properly sloped, and securely connected to the existing gutter system to ensure a smooth, efficient flow of water.
The use of durable 4-inch PVC piping ensures long-lasting performance, resistance to crushing, and year-round reliability, even in freezing conditions. By relocating the discharge point, these extensions effectively reduce hydrostatic pressure against the foundation, helping to prevent water intrusion into this customers garage slab and foundation.
