Job completed for Les A.

Completion date: May 27, 2003

Location: Decatur, IN

Why did the customer contact us?

This homeowner contacted Americrawl after experiencing water seepage in their basement during heavy rains. Upon inspection, our team identified two main issues contributing to the problem: hydrostatic pressure pushing water through a joint and a foundation wall crack that was allowing additional moisture to enter.

Solutions provided:

To provide a complete and long-term solution, Americrawl installed our industry-leading AkwaGuard® basement drainage system along the interior perimeter of the affected walls. This system was designed to capture groundwater at the point of entry and channel it directly to the sump pump for safe removal away from the home’s foundation. The AkwaGuard® system offers a discreet, effective method for preventing basement flooding while preserving maximum floor space.
In addition to the drainage installation, our technicians performed professional crack sealing on the identified foundation wall fracture. Using high-quality, flexible sealants, the crack was thoroughly cleaned, prepared, and injected to ensure a watertight seal that can expand and contract with the wall over time. This repair stops water intrusion at the source and adds structural integrity to the affected area.
The combination of the AkwaGuard® system and crack sealing not only resolved the homeowner’s immediate water concerns but also provided long-term protection against future seepage. The customer was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the crew, the cleanliness of the job site, and the peace of mind that comes with a dry, protected basement.
