Job completed for Amanda A.

Completion date: March 8, 2017

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Solutions provided:

This homeowner contacted Americrawl after noticing signs of water seepage and minor wall bowing in their basement. Concerns about long-term water damage and structural integrity prompted a full inspection, which revealed hydrostatic pressure against the foundation walls and active water intrusion during rain events.
To address these issues, our team installed the AkwaGuard basement drainage system, a high-performance perimeter solution designed to capture and redirect groundwater before it reaches the interior of the basement. This system was installed along the base of the foundation walls and effectively channels water to the designated sump basin, preventing standing water and keeping the space dry.
To remove the collected water, we installed the AmeriSump sump station, a powerful and reliable sump pump system designed for long-term performance. The AmeriSump includes a heavy-duty liner, airtight lid, and high-efficiency pump, all working together to ensure proper water discharge away from the foundation.
In addition to water control, this project included structural reinforcement with Carbon Fiber Reinforcer wall straps. These low-profile, high-strength straps were installed on basement walls showing early signs of inward bowing due to soil pressure. The carbon fiber straps permanently stabilize the walls without the need for invasive excavation or bulky steel beams. They also preserve usable space and can be painted over for a clean finish
