Job completed for Becky A.
Completion date: May 4, 2007
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Solutions provided:
We began by installing the AmeriDrain drainage system, a reliable interior perimeter system designed to collect groundwater and surface seepage before it can pool in the crawl space. This system efficiently channels water to the sump basin, helping to keep the space dry and reduce hydrostatic pressure around the foundation.
To handle the redirected water, we installed the AmeriSump sump station, a high-performance sump pump system featuring a durable liner, sealed lid, and powerful pump to discharge water safely away from the home. This system provides year-round protection from flooding and water buildup under the home.
To improve moisture control and help prevent future mold development, our team installed a 6-mil vapor barrier across the crawl space floor. This liner helps seal off ground moisture, lowering humidity levels and creating a cleaner, more stable environment beneath the home.
As part of the mold remediation process, we applied a Tim-bor treatment spray to all exposed wooden surfaces. This borate-based product eliminates surface mold and protects the wood from future fungal growth and decay, contributing to better indoor air quality and structural integrity.
