After a full inspection, our team identified the need for structural reinforcement, mold treatment, and moisture control to restore the health and safety of the space.
The project began with the removal of damaged materials and preparation of the crawl space for structural and environmental remediation. Our team installed a new full-length floor joist to replace a severely compromised joist. This joist was carefully fitted and secured to ensure long-term stability and load support for the floor system above.
To address the presence of mold and prevent future growth, we applied a Tim-bor mold treatment spray to all exposed wood surfaces in the crawl space. Tim-bor is a professional-grade borate solution that eliminates surface mold while also serving as a long-lasting protective barrier against fungi and wood-destroying organisms.
For moisture control and long-term protection, we installed the CleanSpace encapsulation system. This heavy-duty liner was securely fastened to the crawl space floors and walls, sealing the area from ground moisture and creating a clean, dry, and energy-efficient environment
