Project Overview: This particular crawlspace project involved the full installation of Americrawl’s proprietary products and services, including AmeriDrain Crawlspace Drainage, AmeriSump Sump Pump Installation, structural wood repairs, and a full crawlspace vapor barrier system with protective wood treatment applications.

Crawlspace Drainage System Installation: To manage groundwater seepage and prevent future flooding, our team installed 132 linear feet of AmeriDrain crawlspace drainage. AmeriDrain is an innovative system designed to capture excess moisture at the perimeter of the crawlspace and channel it away efficiently. It prevents water accumulation that can lead to mold, mildew, and foundation problems.

This premium drainage system was expertly placed around the interior perimeter, ensuring complete coverage and maximum water capture. AmeriDrain’s flexibility and high-performance materials make it a perfect choice for long-term moisture management, particularly in Indiana's fluctuating weather conditions.

Sump Pump Installation: Complementing the drainage system, we installed an AmeriSump sump pump system with a complete discharge line. 14 sister joists were installed alongside existing weakened floor joists to add strength and distribute load more evenly.

22 feet of new sill plate was replaced where moisture damage had compromised the original wood’s integrity. The sill plate is crucial for anchoring the home’s structure to the foundation.

23 box header caps were fitted to strengthen the connection between the floor joists and the rim joists, helping to prevent future sagging or shifting.

10 feet of rim joist was repaired and replaced to restore full support to the exterior walls.

Timbor Treatment Application: In addition to physical repairs and moisture barriers, we treated the entire crawlspace wood structure with 1,040 square feet of Timbor spray. Timbor is a borate-based wood preservative that protects against mold and mildew. This eco-friendly treatment penetrates deeply into the wood, offering long-term protection without compromising indoor air quality.
