To provide a permanent solution, Americrawl installed 4 of Dyna® Push Piers a foundation repair method that transfers the weight of the home from unstable soils to deep, load-bearing strata far below the surface. The installation process began by excavating small sections along the foundation where the piers would be installed. Each steel pier was hydraulically driven into the ground until reaching the proper depth and load-bearing capacity. Heavy-duty brackets were then attached to the foundation footing, allowing the home’s weight to be securely supported by the piers. In some cases, lifting was performed to bring the foundation closer to its original position, helping to close cracks and restore the homes foundation.

This project involved addressing water intrusion and foundation protection for the homeowner. Our team performed 28 feet of excavation, reaching depths of 4–5 feet, to access areas where water was affecting the foundation. We applied 132 square feet of waterproof sealer to protect the exterior walls, followed by 132 square feet of 20-mil plastic sheeting to provide an additional barrier against moisture. Finally, an outside drainage system was installed to redirect water away from the foundation, ensuring long-term protection and preventing future water damage.

This customer contacted Americrawl due to ongoing concerns with moisture, musty odors, and standing water in their crawl space. After a thorough inspection by our team, it was determined that the space needed a comprehensive solution to resolve both water intrusion and indoor air quality issues. The project began with a complete cleanout of the crawl space. All debris, organic material, and deteriorated insulation were removed to prepare the area for proper drainage and encapsulation. Once cleared, our crew installed the AmeriSystem drainage system, designed to effectively channel ground and surface water toward a designated pump basin, significantly reducing water pooling and hydrostatic pressure around the foundation. To manage collected water, we installed an AmeriSump sump station, a high-performance sump pump system equipped with a reliable liner and airtight lid, which actively pumps water away from the home to a designated exterior discharge point. With water management in place, the next step was installing the CleanSpace vapor barrier system. This durable, 20-mil liner was securely fastened to the walls and floors of the crawl space, creating a sealed environment that helps prevent moisture from entering the space from the ground and surrounding walls. This not only improves structural integrity but also enhances indoor air quality throughout the home. To ensure long-term moisture control and reduce humidity levels, a Sedona dehumidifier was installed. This energy-efficient unit works in tandem with the encapsulation system to maintain optimal humidity levels, preventing mold growth and improving overall air health

Americrawls crew installed 212 linear feet of AmeriDrain perimeter drainage connected to a new AmeriSump pump station, efficiently removing water from the crawl space. 2,300 square feet of 6-mil vapor barrier was installed to reduce ground moisture, and 2,300 square feet of Timbor Spray was applied to all exposed wood surfaces for long-term protection against mold, mildew, and insects.

To control water intrusion, our team installed the AmeriDrain® interior drainage system along the crawl space perimeter. This system directs groundwater to the sump pump and discharges away from the foundation, keeping the space dry even during the rainy season. A polyethylene vapor barrier was then installed across the crawl space floor to reduce ground moisture. The barrier was laid with overlapping seams, secured around piers, and anchored in place. Finally, the entire crawl space’s exposed wood surfaces were treated with Tim-bor®, a borate-based solution that helps prevent mold growth, wood decay, and damage from wood-destroying insects. This step provides long-term protection for critical structural components like floor joists, beams, and sill plates.

To provide a complete and long-term solution, Americrawl installed our industry-leading AkwaGuard® basement drainage system along the interior perimeter of the affected walls. This system was designed to capture groundwater at the point of entry and channel it directly to the sump pump for safe removal away from the home’s foundation. The AkwaGuard® system offers a discreet, effective method for preventing basement flooding while preserving maximum floor space. In addition to the drainage installation, our technicians performed professional crack sealing on the identified foundation wall fracture. Using high-quality, flexible sealants, the crack was thoroughly cleaned, prepared, and injected to ensure a watertight seal that can expand and contract with the wall over time. This repair stops water intrusion at the source and adds structural integrity to the affected area. The combination of the AkwaGuard® system and crack sealing not only resolved the homeowner’s immediate water concerns but also provided long-term protection against future seepage. The customer was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the crew, the cleanliness of the job site, and the peace of mind that comes with a dry, protected basement.
