Completion date: August 4, 1998

Location: Frankfort, IN

Solutions provided:

The installation team completed a comprehensive crawlspace waterproofing and moisture-control project to help protect the home's foundation and structural components from groundwater intrusion and excess humidity. The work included the installation of 185 linear feet of AmeriDrain interior crawlspace drainage system along the foundation perimeter to intercept groundwater seepage and relieve hydrostatic pressure at the footing level. The drainage system was carefully installed to provide continuous water collection and direct flow toward one AmeriSump sump station, which was installed to efficiently collect and discharge water away from the home through a dedicated exterior discharge line. To further reduce moisture levels within the crawlspace, 1,700 square feet of reinforced vapor barrier was installed across the crawlspace floor and sealed around foundation surfaces to create a continuous moisture barrier. This system helps prevent ground moisture from migrating into the crawlspace environment, reducing humidity levels and helping protect structural wood components from moisture-related deterioration. In addition, five crawlspace vent replacements were completed to restore the condition of the foundation openings and improve the overall functionality of the crawlspace. Together, these improvements provide effective groundwater management, enhanced moisture control, and long-term protection for the crawlspace and supporting structural components.
