Our crew leader and crew completed a comprehensive structural reinforcement project focused on restoring proper support to the home’s floor system. The scope of work included a center beam replacement using 2x10 lumber to address compromised framing and improve overall load distribution. In addition, a 5-foot section of 4-inch steel I-beam was installed beneath the furnace to provide dedicated support for this concentrated load. Four full-length floor joists were installed to replace or reinforce weakened members, ensuring improved strength and stability throughout the floor system. To complete the reinforcement, six adjustable SmartJacks were installed and properly set to provide consistent, long-term support and allow for future adjustments as needed. This work significantly enhances structural integrity, reduces floor deflection, and ensures safe, reliable support for the affected areas of the home.
