Job completed for Fran B.

Completion date: September 8, 1995

Location: Terre Haute, IN

Solutions provided:

The scope of work includes the replacement of an existing 20-foot center beam constructed of 2×10 lumber to restore proper structural support to the floor system. This process involves temporarily supporting the surrounding structure, removing the damaged or compromised beam, and installing a new 2×10 center beam securely fastened and properly aligned according to standard framing practices. In addition, five full-length 2×10 floor joists will be removed and replaced to ensure consistent load distribution and structural integrity throughout the affected area. One existing floor joist will also be reinforced by installing a 5-foot-long 2×10 sister joist, securely fastened to provide additional strength and stability. All materials will be installed level and plumb, with appropriate connections to existing framing, ensuring the completed work meets applicable building codes and provides long-term structural reliability.
