This previous customer had us install wood repair this work includes replacing and installing an 8-foot section of 2×4 sill plate and reinforcing the floor system by sistering two existing 2×8 floor joists. This process involves removing any deteriorated material, preparing the framing area, and securely fitting the new 2×4 sill plate to provide a stable and level base. Two full-length 2×8 joists will be installed alongside the existing joists to restore structural integrity, improve load-bearing capacity, and correct any sagging or deflection in the floor. All new lumber will be properly aligned, fastened, and tied into the surrounding framing to meet current building standards. Once completed, the repair will result in a stronger floor structure, improved long-term stability, and a safer, more reliable support system for the building.
