This project focuses on restoring proper moisture management, drainage efficiency, and overall environmental stability within the home’s crawlspace. The work begins with the installation of 138 linear feet of AmeriDrain crawlspace drainage system, strategically placed to capture and channel groundwater and seepage away from the foundation. This perimeter drainage line will direct all collected water to a newly installed AmeriSump sump station, which provides a reliable discharge point and helps prevent standing water, excessive humidity, and potential structural deterioration.
To further protect the crawlspace environment, 1,352 square feet of 6-mil black vapor barrier will be installed across the crawlspace floor. This barrier is secured and overlapped to industry standards to significantly reduce ground moisture evaporation, which helps improve indoor air quality, discourage mold growth, and protect wood framing components from long-term moisture exposure.
Additionally, the project includes the replacement of nine crawlspace vents. These new vents will restore proper airflow and ventilation, helping maintain a balanced moisture level throughout the crawlspace and supporting overall structural health.
