After assessing the property’s drainage needs, Americrawl installed 4-inch PVC downspout extensions designed to carry roof runoff far away from the foundation to a safe discharge location. Each extension was measured, properly sloped, and securely connected to the existing gutter system to ensure a smooth, efficient flow of water. The use of durable 4-inch PVC piping ensures long-lasting performance, resistance to crushing, and year-round reliability, even in freezing conditions. By relocating the discharge point, these extensions effectively reduce hydrostatic pressure against the foundation, helping to prevent water intrusion into this customers garage slab and foundation.

We installed 135 linear feet of the AmeriDrain Drainage System to provide superior groundwater management and keep the crawl space dry. To further protect against moisture, the area was encapsulated with 1,330 square feet of CleanSpace encapsulation, creating a durable seal that improves air quality and prevents mold growth. For structural reinforcement, our team installed a 4-foot wood helper beam beneath the furnace, addressing weak points and ensuring proper load distribution. To stabilize and support the beam, we added two adjustable SmartJack posts, which allow precise height adjustments and long-term structural stability.

This project involved improving the moisture control and overall condition of the crawl space by installing a AmeriDrain drainage system paired with a durable 6-mil black vapor barrier. The drainage system was strategically placed to direct water away from the foundation and prevent pooling beneath the home, protecting structural integrity. The 6-mil black vapor barrier was installed across the entire crawl space floor, carefully sealed at all seams and edges to create a continuous moisture barrier. This combination ensures long-term protection against humidity, improves air quality, and provides a cleaner, more stable environment beneath the home.
