Completion date: May 7, 2010
Location: Lafayette, IN
Solutions provided:
Our expert crew completed a crawlspace structural repair and water management project to improve the home's structural support and help control groundwater. The structural work included 31 linear feet of sill plate repair to address deteriorated wood along the foundation and help restore proper support to the home's floor system. Our crew also reshimmed the center beam along the home's load-bearing beam to improve contact and support between the structural components, helping promote proper load distribution throughout the floor system. To address groundwater management, our crew installed one AmeriSump sump pump system with a discharge line to collect and remove water from the crawlspace and direct it away from the foundation. This installation helps reduce the risk of standing water and excess moisture beneath the home.
