Job completed for David B

Completion date: February 24, 2004

Location: Muncie, IN

Solutions provided:

Our expert crew transformed the crawlspace by installing 142 linear feet of the AmeriDrain interior drainage system, strategically designed to capture groundwater and direct it into the homeowner's existing sump stations for efficient water removal. This drainage solution helps reduce standing water, relieves hydrostatic pressure beneath the crawlspace, and creates a drier, healthier environment while working seamlessly with the home's existing drainage infrastructure. To further improve the crawlspace, our team installed a new steel crawlspace access door, providing a durable, secure, and weather-resistant entry point that helps keep out moisture, pests, and outside air. We then treated 1,150 square feet of exposed wood surfaces with Timbor a professional borate-based wood preservative that protects against mold, mildew, wood-decaying fungi, and wood-destroying insects. To complete the moisture control system, our crew installed 1,150 square feet of 6-mil black polyethylene vapor barrier across the crawlspace floor. The vapor barrier helps minimize ground moisture evaporation, reduces humidity levels, and improves the overall performance of the drainage system by creating a cleaner, drier crawlspace. Together, these improvements provide long-term protection against excess moisture, mold growth, and structural deterioration while enhancing the health and longevity of the home's crawlspace.
