Completion date: June 12, 2019

Location: Anderson, IN

Solutions provided:

The installation team completed a comprehensive structural reinforcement project in the basement to restore proper load support and improve the overall stability of the home's floor system. The work included the installation of 13 linear feet of structural steel I-beam to reinforce the existing framing and provide continuous load-bearing support across the affected area. The beam was carefully positioned and secured to distribute structural loads more effectively and reduce floor deflection. In addition, four basement support posts were replaced to restore proper vertical support beneath the steel beam and floor framing. Each replacement post was properly aligned and installed to ensure stable load transfer and long-term structural performance. To further strengthen the floor system, two full-length sister joists were installed alongside the existing floor joists to reinforce weakened framing members and restore structural integrity. These repairs improve load distribution, reduce excessive floor movement, and provide a durable, long-term solution for maintaining the stability and performance of the basement support system.
