Completion date: October 22, 2012

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Solutions provided:

The installation team completed a comprehensive foundation stabilization and structural reinforcement project to restore the home's structural integrity and address foundation settlement. The work included the installation of eight (8) helical piers to permanently stabilize the affected foundation. Each helical pier was mechanically advanced into the soil to a specified installation torque, indicating that competent load-bearing strata had been reached. Engineered foundation brackets were then secured to the structure, allowing the home's load to be transferred from unstable soils to the deeper, more stable bearing layers. This underpinning system is designed to prevent further settlement and provide long-term foundation support. In addition to the foundation stabilization, 43 linear feet of the center beam was replaced to restore proper support beneath the home's floor system. The new center beam was carefully installed and properly supported to provide continuous load-bearing capacity, improve load distribution, and replace deteriorated or compromised structural members. Together, these improvements strengthen both the foundation and floor framing, providing a durable, long-term solution that enhances the overall stability, safety, and structural performance of the home.
