Job completed for Lisa D
Completion date: August 2, 2010
Location: Carmel, IN
Solutions provided:
To permanently repair this wet crawlspace in Carmel, Indiana, Americrawl installed a complete waterproofing, structural repair, and encapsulation system. The project began with a full debris cleanout to prepare the area for 181 linear feet of interior crawlspace drainage designed to capture groundwater and direct it to a high-performance sump pump with a discharge line. To help control moisture, humidity, and mold growth, 1,604 square feet of CleanSpace® crawlspace encapsulation was installed, creating a durable vapor barrier across the crawlspace. A new crawlspace access door was also added to improve energy efficiency and help seal out outside moisture. Structural repairs included replacing 46 feet of rim joist and plate, 41 feet of sill plate, installing 15 sister joists for additional floor support, and reinforcing the structure with 18 box header caps. Together, these solutions provide a healthier, drier, and more stable crawlspace while helping protect the home's foundation and structural integrity for years to come.
