Completion date: September 15, 2009
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Solutions provided:
To repair this wet crawlspace in Indianapolis, Indiana, Americrawl implemented a complete crawlspace waterproofing and moisture control system designed to protect the home's foundation and improve indoor air quality. The project began with a debris cleanout to prepare the area for repairs, followed by the installation of 218 linear feet of crawlspace drainage to capture and direct groundwater away from the foundation. Two high-performance sump pumps with discharge lines were installed to efficiently remove water and help keep the crawlspace dry year-round. To further protect the space from moisture intrusion, 1,956 square feet of CleanSpace® crawlspace encapsulation was installed, creating a durable vapor barrier that helps prevent mold growth, wood rot, and excess humidity. A commercial-grade dehumidifier was added to control moisture levels and improve overall air quality, while a TimBor® treatment was applied to exposed wood surfaces to help protect against mold. Together, these solutions provide a healthier, cleaner, and more energy-efficient crawlspace environment.
