Solutions provided:
The installation team completed a series of structural repairs within the crawlspace to restore stability and improve support beneath the home. The project included the replacement of 20 linear feet of damaged sill plate to reestablish a secure connection between the floor framing system and the foundation. The new sill plate was properly installed to provide a stable bearing surface and restore the integrity of the affected area. To further reinforce the floor system, 16 linear feet of 4-inch steel I-beam was installed beneath the structure to provide additional load-bearing support and improve load distribution across the framing. Four (4) SmartJack adjustable support posts were installed beneath the beam and set on engineered bases to transfer loads to stable bearing points. Each SmartJack was carefully adjusted to reduce floor deflection, improve floor stiffness, and help eliminate excessive bounce. The project was completed with the replacement of one crawlspace foundation vent to improve ventilation and restore the condition of the crawlspace opening. Together, these improvements enhance structural stability, strengthen the floor system, and contribute to the long-term performance of the home.
