Job completed for David B.
Completion date: October 25, 2021
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Solutions provided:
Our expert crew installed 20 linear feet of 4-inch steel I-beam to reinforce the existing floor framing and reduce excessive deflection. The beam was carefully positioned beneath the affected span to provide continuous structural support and improve load distribution across the floor system. To properly transfer loads to stable bearing points, four (4) SmartJack adjustable support posts were installed beneath the beam and set on engineered bases to ensure adequate load capacity and long-term stability.
Each SmartJack was precisely adjusted to help reduce floor bounce and improve overall stiffness while maintaining proper alignment of the framing members. This reinforcement system enhances the structural performance of the floor assembly, minimizes movement under live loads, and provides a durable, long-term solution for improved floor stability.
