Completion date: July 20, 2010
Location: Galveston, IN
Solutions provided:
For this project, our team installed 116 linear feet of AkwaGuard basement drainage system along the full interior perimeter of the customer’s basement. The new drainage system was strategically placed at the cove joint where the basement floor meets the foundation wall to effectively capture groundwater seepage and direct it toward the existing sump station.
Instead of installing a new sump pump, the system was carefully tied into the homeowner’s pre-existing sump station, which was inspected and confirmed to be in good working condition. By integrating the new AkwaGuard system with the existing setup, we provided a seamless solution that maximizes efficiency and minimizes disruption to the home’s foundation structure.
The installation included trench excavation along the affected walls, the placement of perforated drainage pipe surrounded by clean gravel for optimal water flow, and the installation of the AkwaGuard drainage channel for long-term durability. Once the system was in place, all concrete areas were re-poured and finished to restore the basement floor to its original appearance.
