For this structural repair project, our team installed a 10-foot, 4-inch steel I-beam to provide added support and leveling for the home’s floor system. The beam was carefully placed beneath the existing floor joists to restore proper alignment and structural stability.
To support the new beam, three SmartJack adjustable steel support posts were installed. These posts were set on engineered footings to ensure long-term strength and stability, allowing for precise height adjustments to correct any sagging or uneven floors.
Prior to installation, approximately 100 square feet of soil was excavated within the crawlspace to create the necessary clearance for the beam and support system.
