Location: Bloomington, IN

Solutions provided:

For this project, our crew completed a full crawlspace drainage and moisture control system to improve the structural integrity and overall air quality of the home. We installed 145 linear feet of AmeriDrain drainage system, designed to effectively capture and direct groundwater away from the foundation to prevent standing water and moisture accumulation beneath the home.
To ensure dependable water removal, an AmeriSump sump station was added, providing a reliable solution for continuous drainage even during heavy rainfall. The crawlspace floor was then covered with 988 square feet of 6-mil vapor barrier, which helps to seal out ground moisture and reduce humidity levels that can contribute to mold growth and wood deterioration.
Additionally, our team replaced four crawlspace vents, improving air control and preventing outside moisture and pests from entering the space. We also repaired and reinforced 38 feet of rim joist and plate, addressing areas of wood damage to restore strength and stability to the crawlspace structure.
