The project involved a comprehensive moisture-management upgrade within the crawl space, beginning with the installation of 152 linear feet of AmeriDrain drainage system. This drainage line was strategically placed to capture groundwater along the interior perimeter and channel it efficiently toward the sump basin, helping prevent standing water and future moisture intrusion. To support effective water removal, one AmeriSump sump pump system was installed, including the sump pit, high-performance pump, discharge piping, and necessary check valve components. This system provides reliable, automatic evacuation of collected water, ensuring consistent protection during periods of heavy moisture. In addition to the drainage improvements, 1,235 square feet of vapor barrier was installed throughout the crawl space  minimizing ground moisture evaporation, and significantly reduce humidity levels. Together, these components create a complete water-management solution designed to enhance the crawl space environment, protect structural elements, and contribute to better overall air quality within the home.

During this project, our team installed 28 linear feet of AkwaGuard basement drainage system along the affected section of the basement perimeter. The purpose of this installation was to manage groundwater seepage and protect the basement from moisture intrusion. The new drainage line was tied into the homeowner’s existing sump station, which was inspected and confirmed to be operating properly. This integration allows for efficient water collection and discharge without the need for an additional sump system. The installation process involved excavating a trench along the base of the foundation wall, installing the perforated drainage pipe and AkwaGuard channel, surrounding it with clean drainage stone, and then re-pouring concrete to restore the basement floor to a clean, finished appearance.

The Americrawl team installed 165 feet of AmeriDrain drainage system and one AmeriSump sump station to effectively manage groundwater and prevent future moisture intrusion in the crawl space. A 1,396-square-foot, 6-mil vapor barrier was installed to seal the ground and reduce humidity levels throughout the area. Additionally, six crawl space vent replacements were completed to improve air circulation and overall system performance.

Americrawl completed a series of structural wood repairs to reinforce and stabilize the home’s crawl space framing system. The project included the replacement of 10 feet of rim joist and plate and 23 feet of sill plate due to signs of deterioration and moisture damage. Additionally, technicians installed 8 sister joists to strengthen existing floor joists and provide added support to the flooring system. 5 box header caps were also replaced to restore the integrity of the load-bearing sections along the perimeter walls.

For this crawlspace restoration project, the Americrawl team completed a comprehensive waterproofing and structural repair process that included 145 feet of AmeriDrain drainage system, 960 square feet of CleanSpace encapsulation, 46 feet of sill plate replacement, 3 sister joist reinforcements, and 1 full-length floor joist replacement. The AmeriDrain drainage system was installed along the interior perimeter of the crawlspace to efficiently capture and redirect groundwater to the sump station, preventing water buildup and long-term moisture issues. The CleanSpace encapsulation system was installed across 960 square feet of the crawlspace floor and walls, providing a durable vapor barrier to control humidity, prevent mold growth, and create a clean, dry environment. Structural integrity was also restored through 46 feet of sill plate replacement, 3 sister joist repairs, and 1 full-length floor joist replacement, ensuring the home’s foundation framing remains strong and stable.
