How do I know if my basement needs waterproofing?
If you notice musty smells, water stains, damp walls, or visible mold, your basement may need waterproofing. Water after a storm is a clear warning sign.
What is crawl space encapsulation?
Crawl space encapsulation is a process of sealing off the space using a thick vapor barrier. It stops moisture, mold, and pests from entering and improves your indoor air quality.
How often should I have my sump pump serviced?
We recommend checking your sump pump at least once a year, ideally before the rainy season, to make sure it’s working correctly. Call us at 463-218-6767 for a free inspection!
Can moisture really affect my foundation?
Yes. Moisture can weaken concrete, shift soil, and lead to cracks or instability. It’s important to address these issues early to prevent long-term damage.

The installation team completed a crawlspace remediation and structural reinforcement project designed to improve moisture control and restore floor system stability beneath the home. The project began with a full crawlspace cleanout, removing debris and organic materials to create a clean, serviceable environment and improve overall access within the space. To address groundwater intrusion, 132 linear feet of AmeriDrain interior crawlspace drainage system was installed along the foundation perimeter to intercept seepage and relieve hydrostatic pressure at the footing level. The drainage system was routed to one AmeriSump sump station, which was installed to efficiently collect and discharge water away from the home through a dedicated exterior discharge line. In addition, fourteen (14) 2x10 sister floor joists were installed alongside existing framing members to reinforce weakened joists, improve load distribution, and restore structural integrity to the floor system. Together, these improvements provide enhanced moisture management, increased structural support, and a cleaner, more stable crawlspace environment.

We recently helped a previous customer at a different home in Indianapolis, Indiana solve both wet basement and wet crawlspace issues with a complete waterproofing and drainage solution. After inspecting the property, we installed 58 feet of basement drainage along with a high-performance sump pump and discharge line to effectively capture and redirect groundwater away from the foundation. In the crawlspace, we added 25 feet of crawlspace drainage to help control standing water and excess moisture beneath the home. Using proven waterproofing methods similar to those recommended by Americrawl, this system helps protect the foundation, reduce humidity, prevent mold and mildew growth, and improve the overall health and stability of the home.

The installation team completed the installation of eighteen (18) wall anchor systems to stabilize and reinforce the affected basement wall. Each anchor assembly consisted of an interior steel wall plate connected by a galvanized steel rod to an exterior earth anchor embedded in stable, undisturbed soil beyond the pressure zone of the foundation wall. The anchors were strategically spaced along the wall to evenly distribute lateral soil pressure and help prevent additional inward movement. Once installed, the systems were tightened and adjusted to provide immediate stabilization, with the potential for gradual wall straightening over time. This reinforcement system provides a durable, long-term solution for bowing or leaning foundation walls while preserving the structural integrity of the basement foundation.

The installation team completed the installation of 130 linear feet of the AkwaGuard basement interior drainage system along the foundation perimeter to effectively intercept groundwater intrusion and relieve hydrostatic pressure before water can enter the basement. The system was carefully installed at the footing level within a perimeter trench to ensure consistent water collection and proper flow toward the sump location. To manage the collected water, one SuperSump sump station was installed to efficiently pump and discharge water away from the home through a dedicated exterior discharge line. In addition, one IceGuard discharge line protection system was installed on the exterior to help prevent backups in the event the discharge line becomes frozen or obstructed during colder weather conditions, providing added year-round protection. To address structural concerns, ten (10) carbon fiber reinforcement straps were installed along the bowing foundation wall to stabilize the affected area and help prevent further inward movement. Each strap was professionally adhered to the wall using high-strength structural epoxy and positioned to provide uniform reinforcement across the compromised section. This reinforcement system helps resist lateral soil pressure while providing a low-profile, permanent stabilization solution. Together, these improvements provide comprehensive waterproofing, moisture control, and structural reinforcement for long-term basement protection.

November 30, -0001 | Indianapolis, IN

The installation team completed a comprehensive crawlspace structural repair and moisture-management project designed to improve the long-term stability and condition of the home. The work included installation of 136 linear feet of AmeriDrain interior crawlspace drainage system along the foundation perimeter to intercept groundwater intrusion and help relieve hydrostatic pressure at the footing level. The project also included installation of one new steel crawlspace access door to improve durability, security, and protection at the entry point. To enhance thermal performance beneath the home, 1,624 square feet of fiberglass insulation was installed within the floor joist cavities to improve energy efficiency and help regulate temperatures. Extensive structural wood repairs were performed throughout the crawlspace, including replacement of 56 linear feet of rim joist, 116 linear feet of sill plate, and 10 linear feet of center beam to restore proper load-bearing support. In addition, 62 full-length floor joists were repaired or replaced to reinforce the floor system and improve overall structural integrity. Together, these improvements provide enhanced moisture control, restored structural stability, and improved energy performance throughout the crawlspace.
